8/22 Tuesday Sheet

Congrats to the band on a great week 1 performance! We're excited to host Bishop Watterson this week for our first home game of the year.

After-School Practice Reminders

  • All after-school rehearsals are mandatory. Please refrain from scheduling doctors appointments, birthday dinners, visits with extended family, etc. during rehearsal or performance times. Remember, one unexcused absence or two absences (excused or unexcused) will result in your removal from that weeks performance(s).

  • You must bring your water jug with you to school on practice days. We will have heat in the 90s this week, a regular sized water bottle is not enough.

  • Bring a change of clothes with you on rehearsal days. If your clothes are breathable and comfortable, you will have a much better time at practice :)

Spirit Wear and Show Shirts

  • Our spirit wear and show shirt store is now live! In order to have the shirts by the first competition, the store will close on Thursday, place your order today! Your items will be delivered to Scioto on 9/15. Click this link to place your orders!

Fund Drive

  • Each fall, high school music students visit homes throughout the community to collect funds to support the Dublin Music Boosters mission to support the vocal and instrumental music education for elementary, middle, and high school students within all of Dublin’s schools. In order to accomplish this, we need many volunteers to drive students to the routes on which they will be collecting the funds and a few volunteers to assist with logistics on the evening of the event. This year's Fund Drive will take place on Thursday, September 7th. Click here to sign up!

    • We will feed the students dinner before heading out on our routes. Students will go out into the community in groups of four to solicit donations. Once the students are back from their routes, they are dismissed. Last year, the Fund Drive collected over $30,000!

We need your help!

  • We will wear summer uniforms for this week's game. This is black shoes (marching shoes if you have them,) grey shorts and green polo.

    • New marching shoes have been ordered and will be in soon!

  • At every football game, the students will have 3rd quarter off. Students can say hi to family, get food from the concessions, and meet the other band. Visitors are not allowed at the band stands at any point in the game. Students must be in their seats with one minute remaining in 3rd quarter. Students who are late to the stands after 3rd quarter lose their 3rd quarter privilege in the next game.
