Picture retakes will be in early September. We are workign on solidifying a date.
Practice and Performance Reminders
All after-school rehearsals and performances are mandatory. Please refrain from scheduling doctors appointments, birthday dinners, visits with extended family, etc. during rehearsal times. Our activity is very unique. We rely on the presence of every member to be successful and absences have a large negative impact on what we can do. We know that in some cases, it is unavoidable, but we ask that you do your best to get your child to rehearsal.
One unexcused absence will result in the loss performance eligibility for that week’s game, competition, or both. Two absences of any kind (excused or unexcused) will result in the loss of performance eligibility for that week’s game, competition, or both. Excessive absences will result in the permanent loss of performance opportunities.
Examples of excused absences could include: illness (with parent email or doctor’s note,) death in the family medical emergency religious holiday or a conflict previously confirmed with the director
Examples of unexcused absences include, but are not limited to: a. Concerts, birthday dinners, parties, work driver’s education, etc. Unexcused absences are at the sole discretion of the directors.
We Need Your Help!
In order to be successful, we depend on the efforts of volunteers. In order to thank you for your time and support, the Dublin Music Boosters are putting together an incentive program. For each time you volunteer for a DMB fund-raising event (Concession Stand, Fund Drive, etc.) you will be entered into a drawing for the opportunity to save money on band-related costs. More details to come on this exciting opportunity!
Volunteers are needed to staff the concession stand for our game on Friday night! Sign Up Here: https://signup.com/go/mCVaNBn
We also need drivers for our Fund Drive on Wednesday, August 28th from 5:45-8:30pm. Sign Up Here: https://signup.com/go/PhuSDFV
The annual DMB Fund Drive is Wednesday August 28th. Last year, the Fund Drive raised well over $50,000(!) to support music in Dublin City Schools! The event starts at 6:00p, and we will wear summer uniforms for this event. We will release more information for this later this week
Pit Crew! Lots of percussion parents are signed up but we do still need more help! Football dates are looking good, but we definitely need help for competitions! Link to the signup genius, the access code is pitcrew24. Deadline to sign up and receive free shirt is Friday!
